Data syncs automatically when you're connected to the internet. Make sure you're signed in with the same account (Apple, Google, or email) on all devices and that cloud sync is enabled in Settings.

To manually trigger a sync, pull down on most list views to refresh.

Follow these steps:

1. Open Settings in the app
2. Scroll to the Subscription section and tap Subscribe
3. Choose your plan:
   • Entry ($9.99/mo) — 1 property, all core features, data on-device only
   • Pro ($24.99/mo) — up to 3 properties, 10 team members, cloud sync, Alffi AI
4. If you chose Pro, tap Enable Cloud Sync in Settings
5. Sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password

Any data you created before signing in will automatically upload to the cloud. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store.

Yes! Alffi works fully offline. All your data is stored locally on your device. When you reconnect to the internet, changes will sync automatically to the cloud and other devices.

Go to Irrigation > Calendar or use the Scheduling Wizard. The app uses Plant Available Water (PAW) calculations based on your soil type, crop, and weather conditions to recommend optimal irrigation timing.

You'll need to set up irrigation runs first by marking valve and target locations on your map.

Go to Settings > Team Members > Add Member. Enter their email address and they'll receive an invitation. Once they download the app and sign in, they'll have access to your enterprise data.

Note: Adding team members requires a Pro subscription.

From the Home screen, tap Field Operations then Create New. The wizard walks you through each step:

1. Choose operation type — Spraying, Fertilising, or Attachment
2. Select equipment — pick your sprayer, spreader, or attachment and the tractor it’s mounted to
3. Configure settings — nozzle/pressure/speed for spraying, or gate opening for spreading
4. Select paddocks — tick the areas you want to work
5. Select products — for spraying you can add multiple products for a tank mix; for fertilising select one granular product
6. Review the mixing guide — the app sorts your products into the safe W–A–L–E–S mixing order with per-tank volumes
7. Save & execute — save the plan, then start the execution workflow with GPS tracking, A–B guidance lines, and real-time speed feedback

Make sure your sprayer or spreader is mounted to a tractor (Equipment → Mount Status) and calibrated before you begin.

Tip: Not sure which products to use? Tap the Alffi Crop Advisor card in Field Operations to photograph affected crops and get AI-powered pest and disease identification with product recommendations.

Spray data (nozzle performance tables) is managed per irrigator. Go to Irrigation → select an irrigator → Spray Data → Manage. You have two options:

• Alffi Spec Sheet Scanner — photograph a manufacturer’s performance chart and Alffi reads the table automatically (costs 1 credit)
• Manual entry — add nozzle/pressure/flow/radius data by hand

The scanner works best with clear, well-lit photos of printed spec sheets or screenshots from manufacturer websites.

Go to Irrigation > Reports > Compliance Report. Select the date range and the report will show all irrigation activities with water usage, suitable for water authority reporting.

You can export reports as PDF, CSV, or email them directly.

Alffi requires iOS 18.0 or later. It works on iPhone and iPad. The app is optimised for iPhone but fully functional on iPad with a larger display.

Yes, but GPS accuracy depends on which iPad model you have:

iPad WiFi + Cellular models have a built-in GPS chip and will provide accurate location for field operations, guidance lines, and coverage tracking — just like an iPhone. These are the recommended choice for in-field use.

iPad WiFi-only models do not have a GPS chip. They estimate location using nearby WiFi networks, which works well in populated areas but is unreliable in rural paddocks where few WiFi networks are visible. If you connect a WiFi-only iPad to your iPhone’s hotspot, the iPad only “sees” your iPhone’s hotspot network — it cannot scan the broader environment for location, so WiFi-based positioning will be very limited.

In summary:

• iPhone — always has GPS, always accurate. Best option for field work.
• iPad WiFi + Cellular — has GPS, accurate location. Great if you prefer a larger screen in the cab.
• iPad WiFi-only — not recommended for GPS tracking or guidance. Location will be unreliable in the field, even when tethered to your iPhone’s hotspot.

Tip: Check your iPad model in Settings → General → About. If the model name includes “Cellular” or “WiFi + Cellular”, it has GPS. You can also check for a SIM card tray on the side of the device.

Alffi supports Ecowitt and Davis WeatherLink v2 personal weather stations. To connect one:

1. Place a Weather Station marker on your map where the station is located
2. Go to Irrigation → Weather → Setup
3. Select your station marker and choose your provider
4. Enter your API credentials:
   • Ecowitt — Application Key, API Key, and MAC address (from ecowitt.net → Settings → API Key)
   • Davis — API Key and API Secret (from weatherlink.com), then use Find Stations to select your station
5. Tap Test Connection to verify, then save

Once connected, the Weather tab shows live conditions and rainfall is auto-imported into your rain gauge logs daily.

Alffi credits are used to pay for AI-powered features. Each of the following costs 1 credit per use:

• Crop Advisor — photo-based pest and disease identification
• Crop Advisor follow-ups — ask follow-up questions about results
• Spec Sheet Scanner — read sprinkler performance data from photos
• Product Label Scanner — read chemical labels from photos
• Livestock counting — 1 credit per batch of 5 photos
• Gateway counting — 1 credit per batch of 5 video frames
• Liveweight estimation — estimate weight from photos

Credits are purchased in packs of 50 from Stock → Credits. They are shared across your entire team — any team member can use credits from the shared pool. A Pro subscription is required to use Alffi features.

Yes. When you use Alffi features (crop assessment, label scanning, livestock counting), your photos are sent securely to our cloud service for analysis and are not stored after processing. Photos are never used to train AI models or shared with third parties.

Saved advice results and conversation history are stored locally on your device. If you have cloud sync enabled, they sync to your private Firebase account accessible only to your team.
